Why are dentists so expensive?
Dental visits do NOT have to be expensive. In many cases, our dentist at Westlake Dental can itemise your treatment program into several stages, prioritising the one that needs immediate attention first (red light) followed by the less serious ones (amber light). It is very common amongst our patients that their treatment plans are planned and delivered according to their needs, preference, budget and motivation for over a period of several months or years.
We have learnt that when our patients understand that:
– teeth can’t repair themselves like other body parts,
-the relationship between oral health and the rest of the body,
– the long-term benefits that come from having healthy gums, secure, functional, attractive teeth and a confident smile is immeasurable, especially now that studies have shown our life expectancy is much longer.
At Westlake Dental, we believe in being transparent with our charges. After your initial full check-up, the dentist can provide a treatment plan which is itemised with cost included. The procedure and the exact cost will be explained before the treatment begins and you do not have to be anxious about the cost. This way all your questions and uncertainties can be addressed earlier, which makes the following visits much easier.
Our team then would be able to provide various options on how you could plan the payment.
For instance,
– if you have private insurance, we will be able to let you know your out of pocket (gap) cost ahead of your procedure or plan it according to the roll over date of your private insurance.
– or you could pay in stages according to your treatment.
In summary, we want you to know what is happening in your mouth, what your options are and to ensure you receive both quality and value.
